Introduction

My favorite go to meal for active phase of HCG protocol. It's simple, filling, satisfying, and delicious. The calories are just a tad high for this phase, so it's best to make the other meal of the day be light (like haddock and greens). You're already satisfied, right? Ingredients

4 large onions or 8 small ones, peeled and chopped
4 small apples, cored and chopped (I like Fuji or Granny Smith)
    14 ounces lean ground bison
    Water
1 T very good curry powder. (I use Madras Curry Powder from Sing Kung Corp. which I bought in an Asian grocery. Ingredient list: Coriander seed, chili, cumin, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, anise, bay leaves, cloves and salt -- very tasty!

Directions

In a large skillet or saucepan, cook chopped onions in 2 or 3 cups water until beginning to be soft. Add chopped apples and bison, separated into small clumps. Stir to mix everything evenly and separate the bison bits to blend throughout. Add the curry powder and cook over medium to low heat for 15 minutes or so until meat is cooked through and apples and onions are stewed.

You can adjust the amount of water to your preferences. I like it rich and thick. I might add a bit more curry powder to taste, also.
