i found this recipe online from a mom who had taken the time to figure out how to make homemade spaghetti-O's. I added the meatballs to her recipe because that's what my kids wanted. She also had anelletti pasta listed which I cannot find here, so we improvised with any small pasta. Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground beef
    6 cups canned tomato sauce
    4 cups water
    3 tsp garlic powder
    16 oz ditalini pasta, alphabet pasta, or anelletti
    2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
    1/2 cup 1% milk
    2 tbsp butter
    salt to taste

Directions

roll ground beef into approximately 48 tiny meatballs. bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. combine tomato sauce, water and garlic powder in a large pot. add meatballs. bring to a boil. when the tomato mixture is boiling, add the pasta to the pot. cook, stirring frequently (pasta is tiny and will stick to bottom easily) for about 20 minutes or until pasta is soft. stir in cheese until melted. add milk, butter, and salt to taste. enjoy.
