Ingredients

    3/4 cup apple cider or apple juice
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup light corn syrup
    2 Tbs. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

In a saucepan, combine all syrup ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; semmer, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes or until slightly thickened. Let stand for 30 minutes before serving. Store unused portion in refrigerator. Let warm to room temperature before using. Makes about 1 1/2 cups of syrup. 1 Tbs. equals one serving.

    Incredible!
    Wonderful! I made this to add to my crockpot oatmeal. I also cut up some apples and cooked them in the syrup. I substituted Splenda Brown sugar and cut down the Corn Syrup and Butter to make it a little "healthier". - 1/19/09
