Introduction

I love this, it's my guilty pleasure, and if you go easy on the cheese and butter it actually winds up being good for you as well as darn tasty. I know I'm weird for liking okra, but it's srsly replaced green beans in my diet. SO GOOD. Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    Okra, 8 pods, washed and with the stems cut off
    Any interesting melting cheese, about a half cup to a cup
    One pat of butter (optional)

Directions

Steam okra 3-5 minutes, or until pods are tender. At the same time, melt cheese in microwave. Remove okra from steamer basket when done, and toss in 1 pat of butter- it should melt pretty quickly. Pour cheese over okra pods, and munch away.

Makes one fairly largeish snack.

    This is really good. I used a slice of American cheese & tore in little strips & melted across top. Didn't do butter though. Good snack! - 7/20/08
