Introduction

The biggest sellers at our Reach-For-The-Top bakesales in high school! They have a different (and vulgar) name in our circle, but I changed it for posting! Ingredients

    2 c white sugar
    1/2 c milk
    1/2 c shortening
    1 tsp vanilla
    3 c rolled oats (not instant)
    1 c sweetened shredded coconut
    pinch salt
    1/3 cup cocoa powder

Directions

Boil the first 3 ingredients.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and bring to a boil again.
Remove from heat and add the oatmeal, coconut, salt and cocoa powder.
Mix quickly and thoroughly.
Drop heaps onto wax-paper lined sheets, chill completely.
