Introduction

This is a "doctored" version of the Bisquick recipe that gets it closer to Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Increasing the amount of garlic and cheese was key; use 2 LARGE cloves of garlic, or 4 small, to really get the flavor in there! Ingredients

2 c. Heart Smart Bisquick baking mix
    2/3 c. nonfat milk
    1 c. 2% shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    2 large cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. dried parsley flakes

    Topping:
    3 tblsp. unsalted butter
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder

    1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Mix baking mix, milk, cheddar cheese, garlic and parsley until soft dough forms; beat vigorously for 30 seconds.

Drop by large spoonfuls (I use the Pampered Chef medium scoop) onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until just beginning to turn golden brown.

Meanwhile, melt butter and stir in garlic powder. Brush onto browned biscuits and sprinkle with parmesan. Continue baking for 1-2 minutes more to melt cheese.
