Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    9 large eggs
    3 cups of skim milk
    1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    2 heels from a loaf of white or wheat bread (or crusts only from 6 slices of bread)
    8 oz. breakfast sausage (pork or turkey is fine) - crumbled and browned and cooled
    1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp, ground black pepper

Directions

Brown sausage and let cool. Beat eggs and milk and seasonings. Cut heels of bread into thin strips, gently stir-in sausage, cheese and bread strips into egg mixture. Let sit overnight so that egg mixture soaks into break. Pour into 9" x 13" baking dish sprayed with Pam.

Serving Size: Makes 12 servings.
