Introduction

Delicious smoothie that tastes a little like apple pie! Delicious smoothie that tastes a little like apple pie!
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 cup of kefir (I like to make my own)
    1 apple
    Quarter tsp of ground cinnamon
    Eighth teaspoon of ground nutmeg
    3 ice cubes

    You could probably add a little natural sweetener if it's not sweet enough for you, but I prefer mine a little sour

Directions

Cut apple into quarters and remove core
Steam until apple if soft and skin is coming away from apple flesh
Allow apple to cool and remove skin
Pour kefir into ba-mix/blender
Add apple, cinnamon, nutmeg and ice
Blend until it reaches your desired consistency
Enjoy while it's nice and cold!

    Very Good
    We made this with some minor adjustments. I didn't cook the apple because I was in a hurry. I did use some truvia because the apples we have are sort of tart. My only recommendation is to use A LOT more ice cubes. we will be having this again! - 3/11/12
