Introduction
This is a tummy warming dish I concocted to get my family to eat the Deer meat we had in the freezer. They could not get enough of it, even my very picky 3 & 13 yr olds loved it. Cube deer meat , put in a large ziploc bag with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, garlic chili paste, water, and marinate for 30 minutes or longer.
Heat olive oil and butter in large sauce pan to just smoking. Add meat and marinade, brown meat for about 5 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
Add the remaining ingredients - bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 - 60 minutes until carrots are soft and meat is cooked through.
Serve with shredded cabbage, wedge of lime, and hot sauce.
I like to serve it over sweet winter squash for a sweet spicy treat.
