Introduction

I grew up eating this dish and still do. I love how simple and tasty it is. This is great for a picnic or just as filling meal, serve with fresh letuce leaves on the side. :) I grew up eating this dish and still do. I love how simple and tasty it is. Ingredients

    4 Hard crusted bread slices
    1 can of tuna in oil
    Capers (wash over water if brine is too sour for you)
    Salt & Pepper to taste
    2 tbsp tomatoe paste
    A bunch of chopped flat leaf parsley
    *Tomatoes (add these if you want)

Directions

1. Spread the tomato paste over each slice of bread.

2. Drain the tuna from its oil and spread 1/2 of the tuna on a slice and 1/2 on another slice.

3. Add the capers and chopped parsley on top of the tuna.

4. Drizzle some of the tuna drained oil on each slice.

5. Add pepper & salt to taste.

Serving Size: 2 slices per person (1 sandwich)
