Introduction
Nutritionally speaking, this beats the heck out of mint chocolate chip ice cream and sacrifices NONE of the flavor. Make sure you get the Optimum Nutrition brand of protein powder... it tastes the best ever. Ingredients
-
* *Optimum Nutrition - Gold Standard 100% Whey - Double Rich Chocolate, 1 scoop (30.4 g)
* *Chocolate Light Silk Soymilk, 1 cup
* *Cocoa Nibs, 1/2 tsp
* *Mint Extract 1 tiny drops
* *Ice cubes, 3
edit: apparently if you add 1/8 tsp xanthan gum and 1/4 tsp guar into any protein shake, they will have the consistency of milkshakes. I MUST try this... maybe you guys want to also (although I think my shake had a good consistency on its own!)
Directions
Blend the ice, milk, powder, and extract in your favorite bullet blender (or a regular blender or food processor). Sprinkle a tiny amount of cocoa nibs on top before serving.

This was great! I made it a couple of times as a post-workout treat and then one day everyone else in the house was planning on ice cream for dessert so I threw it in my ice cream maker - it turned out more like ice milk than ice cream (more chrystals) phenomenal!!! Thanks so much for this recipe!!! - 2/17/14
