Introduction

A simple hummus recipe that swaps out tahini (and the fat that comes with it) with a surprising ingredient that creates a creamy, flavorful, protein packed veggie dip or sandwich spread. A simple hummus recipe that swaps out tahini (and the fat that comes with it) with a surprising ingredient that creates a creamy, flavorful, protein packed veggie dip or sandwich spread.

Ingredients

    1/2 c. low fat cottage cheese
    1 can Bush's Garbanzos, Reduced Sodium
    1 tsp Mrs. Dash Tomato Basil Garlic seasoning
    red pepper flakes (to taste)
    1/3-1/2 cup water

Directions

Add cottage cheese, drained and rinsed garbanzos, Mrs. Dash, and water to a food processor or blender. (I use a Ninja!) Blend, and blend, and blend, till it is smooth and creamy. Chill overnight to allow seasoning to bloom and flavor the entire dip.
