Introduction

I had seen a recipe for Pumkin Cake and decided to change it up just a bit. This is very moist and pretty easy to make. I had seen a recipe for Pumkin Cake and decided to change it up just a bit. This is very moist and pretty easy to make.

Ingredients

    -1 can, 15 oz, canned pumpkin, I used the kind from Aldi
    -1 C fresh applesauce, unsweetened, I diced 2 med- lg apples (which was about 1 1/2 C) and pureed them in my processor with 1 T water.
    -1 t pumpkin pie spice
    -1 box Devil's Food cake mix, mix only, I used Betty Crocker's Super moist
    -1/4 C chopped walnuts, about 39 g, I used Diamond brand

Directions

---Mix the wet ingredients with the pumpkin pie spice very well and then add in your cake mix. Mix until all is mixed well. Fold in your nuts.

---Pour into a lightly sprayed 9 x 13 glass casserole dish and bake for about 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until a knife in the middle comes out clean.

---Makes 24 servings.
