Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    500 g. lean ground beef (or turkey)
    2 tins chopped tomatoes (with basil and oregano if available)
    300 g. passata
    or
    2 tbsp tomato puree
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    3-6 mushrooms chopped
    1 small or 1/2 a large zucchini, chopped
    dried basil
    dried oregano
    (or dried mixed herbs, herbs de provance, etc.)
    ground paprika
    salt
    splash of red wine (or small splash balsalmic vinegar)

Directions

Sautee onions, garlic, mushrooms and zuchiini in oil til soft. Add in ground beef and brown. Sprinkle with dried herbs, paprika and salt, then splash in the wine. Stir in tomato puree/passata and chopped tomatoes. Simmer for 30 minutes or more. Taste and add seasoning as needed. Serve over cooked pasta and sprinkle with grated parmesan.
