Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    Beef chuck, arm pot roast, 1 lb (remove)
    *Lard, 1 cup
    Beef broth, bouillon, consomme, 8 grams
    *Pepper, white, 1 tbsp
    Salt, 3 tbsp
    Bay Leaf, 1 tbsp, crumbled
    Garlic, 3 cloves
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    *Chilli - Sauce, 20 tbsp
    *Masa, Maseca Brand, Instant, 9 cup


Directions

In a large pot add hot water and submerge cornhusks in it until they get tender. Boil meat with garlic cloves, bay leaf, salt and onion until beef is tender, take out the beef and shred it and reserve the beef broth. To make masa add approximately 2 cups of hot beef broth and make a dough (add hot beef broth as needed). Cream the lard and add baking powder, next add chili paste and incorporate the corn masa until all ingredients are blended.
In a corn husk add 1/4 cup of masa and 2 tbsp of shredded beef, fold the corn husk and make the rest, when finished steam the tamales for 90 minutes in a medium high flame, let cool and serve.
