Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    20 oz ground turkey
    2 cups white rice
    1 bag frozen broccoli
    1/2 cup red wine
    2 tablespoons canola oil
    4 cloves minced garlic

    1 tablespoon black pepper
    1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons Dr. Gonzos spicy rub

Tips

this is cheap, fast, easy and filling. i can make four lunches or two dinners of this stuff for less than $10, and at 400 calories for a lunch (or 800 for a dinner) it is definitely high on my fillingness to calories ratio.

Directions

put the oil and garlic in a pan on high, heat until the garlic gets crispy and black at the edges, but still mostly unburned. add ground turkey and stir rapidly until roughly 50% cooked, or until the turkey grain is broken down. add rice and water and bring back to a boil. turn heat down to a simmer. add all seasonings. Simmer until most of the water is gone, then add the wine and the bag of frozen broccoli. stir and heat on medium heat until the broccoli is hot. Serve
