Introduction

Sweet enough to be a decadent dessert, but also great as a snack! Sweet enough to be a decadent dessert, but also great as a snack!

Ingredients

    4 sweet red apples, cut into medium-size wedges
    4 dates, pitted and chopped
    4 whole cloves
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions

Combine dates and 2 tbsp water with cloves in a small pot. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg & simmer covered for 5 minutes or until the apples are soft. Remove from heat, discard the cloves, and serve.
