Ingredients
• 1 Pkg. Active Dry Yeast
• 1-1/2 Cups Warm Water (105°-115°)
• 2 Eggs
• 1/4 Cup Honey
• 2 tsp Salt
• 1/4 Cup Lard or Butter (melted)
• 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
• 4 to 4-1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
• 1 Tbls Sugar
Tips
I usually freeze one loaf until the first one is used up
Directions
Directions:
1.Dissolve yeast and sugar in a large mixing bowl; let stand 5 minutes to proof.
2.Stir in eggs, honey, salt and lard.
3.Add whole wheat flour; stir well.
4.Gradually add all-purpose flour one cup at a time, beating to make dough smooth. continue adding until stiff dough forms.
5.Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead for 10 minutes; place dough in an oiled bowl and cover to rise until doubled. (about 1 to 1-1/2 hours)
6.Punch dough down, and shape into 2 loaves or 24 dinner rolls.
7.Let rise until doubled.
8.Bake 40-45 minutes for loaves; 15-20 minutes for rolls.
