Introduction
This is excellent using only self rising flour, but too high in carbs. Hence, replacing 1.5 cups of that with Almond Flour. This is excellent using only self rising flour, but too high in carbs. Hence, replacing 1.5 cups of that with Almond Flour.Number of Servings: 12
Ingredients
-
* 1 cups of self-rising flour
* 1.5 cups Almond Meal/Flour
* 1 heaping 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
* 3 Tbsp sugar
* 1 tsp Ms. Dash Table Blend
* 1/2 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp salt
Then stir in, just until combined:
* 1 can LaCroix Sparkling Water, Lime flavor
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.
Stir together the dry ingredients. Then stir in the sparkling water, just until combined.
Place mixture in greased 5x9 loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes. (I put 3 little pats of butter on top before baking, just because :) It looks like it will rise and overwhelm the pan, but it won't. You can turn it out of the baking dish within a couple of minutes of removing from oven, then go ahead - slice and enjoy!
This recipe turned out with a nice savory flavor because the LaCroix Lime isn't sweetened. However, there are lots of possible variations that you can try. If you want a sweeter bread, you might try orange soda and some orange jest. If you want Italian bread, try plain club soda and some Italian seasoning, with maybe a little grated Parmesan on top :)
Serving Size: Makes a loaf that slices comfortably into 12 pieces
