Introduction

This turkey chile has a little kick to it...I added one dried hot pepper and a couple of shakes of cayenne...Serve it with some fat free sour cream to balance the hot if you like it milder. Ingredients

    1 lg onion chopped
    1 green pepper chopped
    1T olive oil
    1 T chopped garlic
    1 19.2 oz lean ground turkey
    2 28 oz cans stewed tomatoes
    3 15 oz cans dk red kidney beans
    chile powder to taste
    1 chopped dried hot pepper (I dried from my summer garden)
    cilantro to taste

Tips

This chile is awesome with some tortilla strips, fat free sour cream or shredded cheese...Just remember to add the extra calories in.


Directions

add olive oil, chopped onion and green pepper to pan...cook until onion translucent. Add Turke and cook until no longer pink..stiring often. Add the remaining ingredients and and simmer for thirty minutes.
