Ingredients

Mung Beans, 1.5 cup (remove)
Red Ripe Tomatoes, 1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) (remove)
*Canola Oil, 1 tbsp (remove)
Mustard seed, yellow, 1 tsp (remove)
*asafoetida (hing), 0.25 tsp (remove)
Turmeric, ground, 1 tsp (remove)
Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tsp (remove)
Granulated Sugar, 1.5 tsp (remove)
Water, tap, 2.25 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
*Green Chilli Pepper Fresh, 5 gram(s) (remove

Directions
1. Pressure cook the mung daal with 1.25 cup of water.
Heat oil -- add mustard seeds. When they start popping add hing powder. Immediately turn the stove to low -- add Green chilli pepper, cayenne papper, tureric and salt. after two minutes, add chopped tomatoes. cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add boiled mung daal, sugar and remaining water.stir for 5 minutes. The daal will be cooked when the water is completely mixed with the other ingredient making a mushy mixture of mung daal.
Serving Size: 3 to 4 -- 1 cup servings
