Introduction
Chili is always a great and HEALTHY comfort food/easy weeknight dinner, just stick it in a crockpot and go. This is a chili I threw together with items we always have on hand. You can alter the recipe based on what you have, but this was last night's chili. I never make the same chili twice :) Chili is always a great and HEALTHY comfort food/easy weeknight dinner, just stick it in a crockpot and go. Tips
The good thing about Chili is that the longer it cooks the better it tastes. You really cant go wrong with cooking times. I cooked it for 3 hours on high last night and it was perfect.
This will also be a simple one pot meal. Just simmer the chili it is heated through and you are ready to eat.
Directions
1.Brown ground turkey in a nonstick pan. Add in Sazon, Applewood rub, salt and pepper to taste. While the meat is browning, chop or mince your garlic and toss it it to brown with the meat.
2.Open your cans of beans and tomatoes.
3.Pull out your crock pot. Drain your meat and add it in. Add in beans, and tomatoes. Mix well. Add in frozen veggies and mix well.
4.Cook on high 2-4 hrs, Low 6-8 hrs.
We eat over a bed of rice and add some cheese on top (not calculated for the calorie count)
Serving Size: makes about 12 1/2-cup servings
