    3/4 C Water
    2 1/4 C Whole Wheat Flour
    2 Tbsp Sugar
    1 Tbsp Dry Milk
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1 Tbsp Butter/Margarine
    1 tsp Active Dry Yeast


I find that I have to substitute 1 Tbsp of Vital Wheat Gluten for 1 Tbsp of Whole Wheat Flour to make the loaf rise nicely.


Place all ingredients in bread machine in the order in which they appear. *Make sure the yeast does not touch any liquid* I use the Zojirushi Home Baker Mini (BB-HAC10), which I think is the smallest size of bread machines. Select "Basic Bread Regular" and the kind of crust you'd like. You may use a timer if you'd like to give it more time to sit. Press start.
