Ingredients

    1/4 cup dried onion
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. crushed dried red pepper flakes
    3 tsp. dried oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. instant minced garlic
    1 tsp. ground cumin

Tips

If using ground turkey rather ground beef, you may want to increase the seasoning to 2 1/2 or even 3 tablespoons for added flavor. We use ground turkey, and we typically use 2 1/2 tablespoons per pound of meat.

Directions

Throw it all together in a ziplock and shake it. As this recipe has no salt, this mixture is prone to clumping. Don't worry about it. Use a fork or the back of a spoon to break up the lumps. Small lumps will dissolve easily as you stir and cook the mixture. Use in place of store bought taco seasoning. Follow packet instructions.

    Incredible!
Very good recipe. Had to make a few replacements. Had to use onion powder just used half of what was called for. Also had to use garlic powder just used half. I little hot for us so next time will reduce the heat. Taste was really good and I will make again. We use less salt in everything. - 4/30/14
