Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Ingredients:
1/2 head of large cabbage of your choice (or one small head) or of mixed heads
1 turkey sausage, kolobasa, or sausage link of your choice aprx. 1 lb.
1 onion (optional- makes it sweeter)
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    salt
    pepper
    Siracha (optional)

Tips

The nutritional value is served with Turkey Sausage.
I serve this with long grain white rice and Siracha Chili Sauce. It is great with clear soups. The kids love it!

Directions

Preperation:
-Peel the first layer of cabbage off. Wash. Slice the cabbage one direction and then slice the other direction. Wash again and drain.
-Cut your sausage widthwise to create small rounds.
-Wash your onion and dice it up (optional).

Cooking:
-Saute' the sausage in a large dry non-stick saute' pan or wok. The sausage will create oil.
If you use a lean sausage such as turkey you might need to add a bit of oil to the pan.
-Cook the sausage until brown on the edges and then remove from the pan.
-Using the same pan add the olive oil and onion and lightly brown till translucent.
-Add the cabbage and saute' till slightly translucent.
Do not let the cabbage become brown, soggy, or soft. Add some water if needed.
It will soften up some after you take it off the heat.
-Add the sausage back to the cabbage and combine for a minute on the heat.

Ready to serve. Serve hot.
