Ingredients

    1 whole chicken cut into pieces
    6-12 white pearl onions pealed
    8 garlic cloves crushed
    1/2 lb baby portabello
    6 slices of bacon raw
    1 tbsp thyme leaves
    1 bay leave
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp black peper
    1/2 low sodium chicken broth
    2 cups red wine (cab sauv)

Directions

Cook bacon, reserve
Put chicken in same pan until nicely brown.
In crockpot, layer onions, mushrooms and garlic
Add chicken then bacon, then herbs and seasoning
Cover with chicken broth and wine
Cook on low for 8 hours
