Ingredients

    olive oil
    leeks
    white onion
    celery
    carrot
    sweet potato
    pumpkin
    garlic
    chicken broth
    whipping cream
    bay leaf
    fresh sage
    cloves
    nutmeg
    cinnamon
    salt
    pepper

Directions

heat oil in a heavy-bottom pot. Add leeks, onion, celery, carrot, sweet potato, and garlic. Saute until they start to brown. Add bay leaf (2), broth, canned pumpkin and cream. Bring to boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook until all vegetables are tender. Add fresh sage, (1T - chopped), cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Remove bay leafs. Serve hot.
