Introduction

This is the tzatziki sauce I make at home when my husband and I want Mediterranean food but don't want to go out. I usually serve this as a side for falafel or atop my Greek nachos. Ingredients

    2 large cucumber, peeled, seeded and grated
    2 cups plain fat free yogurt
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 cup dill, chopped fine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 T. lemon juice

Tips

Use on burgers for a delicious, low-calorie condiment.


Directions

Put the grated cucumber in a colander and toss with salt. Allow to sit for 15 minutes, then squeeze out the excess moisture.
Stir together all ingredients in a bowl, cover and let sit for 1 hour.

Serving Size: Makes 8 1/4-cup servings.
