Ingredients

    *Pork, fresh, loin, sirloin (chops), bone-in, separable lean and fat, cooked, braised, 3 chop, excluding refuse (yield from (remove)
    Onions, raw, 1 large (remove)
    Garlic, 1 clove
    Apples, fresh, 2 large (3-1/4" dia) (approx 2 per lb (remove)
    *Potato, raw, 2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) (remove)
    Sauerkraut, 2 cup, undrained (remove)
    Light Beer, 1 can or bottle (12 fl oz) (remove)
    whole cloves, 3
    peppercorns, 6
    genever berries

Tips

can also be made in a slow cooker, if desired.


Directions

Prep:
Slice onions, mince garlic,
Skin, core and slice apples
Peel and slice potatoes

Brown some onion and pork chops
Move chops to plate

Brown onion, garlic, apple, potato; then return chops to skillet

Add sauerkraut

Mix

Add spices and beer

Return to cook over low heat

Simmer for 40 to 60 minutes.
