    1 pound lean ground beef
    1 medium onion
    1 can of whole peeled tomatoes
    1 6 oz can of tomato paste
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp salt
    pepper to taste
    8 oz whole wheat pasta

    * I put my can of tomatoes in the food processor because my husband hates big chunk of tomato


1. Brown ground beef and onion. Drain.
2. Add tomatoes, paste, sugar, salt, and pepper.
3. Simmer for 1 hour.

Top with shredded cheese if desired.
