Ingredients

    1 large clove garlic, minced
    1/2 small jalapeno pepper, halved, seed and minced
    1/2 large cucumber, diced, about 1 cup
    3 large green onions, sliced
    5 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
    1 tablespoon Thai fish sauce
    1 tablespoon peanut oil
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/3 cup flour
    3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
    1 tsp dried cilantro
    4 - 4 ounce orange roughy fillets(or other whitefish)
    3 tablespoons peanut oil

Directions

-Combine 1st 9 ingredients for relish and let sit for at least 1 hour.

-Combine next 5 ingredients. Coat fish on both sides with flour mixture.

-Heat 3 T peanut oil over medium heat in skillet. Panfry fillets until brown about 3 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

-Drain relish. Serve fillets topped with relish.
