Ingredients

    6-8 tea bags - black tea preferred
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 cup orange juice
    Peel from 1/4 orange
    8 cups water
    Orange slices (optional, not in nutritional value)

Tips

This can be changed to be sweeter, or lower calorie by making it with an artificial sweetener like Splenda. Experiment and enjoy!


Directions

In a sauce pan, combine 4 cups of water, orange peel, and the tea bags. Bring to a boil, letting steep/boil for 10 to 15 minutes.

In a pitcher, combine 4 cups water, sugar, and orange juice, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

When the tea is done steeping, remove orange peel and tea bags, and pour brewed tea into water/sugar/orange juice mixture. Stir well, and chill before serving over ice. Garnish with orange slices or mint.
