Ingredients
-
4 cups Fresh Spinach
1-2 cups Water (adjust for consistency you like)
1 container (4oz) Cherry Cheesecake Yoplait Whips
1/4 cup Dark Sweet Cherries, without pits, Frozen
1/2 cup Pineapple, Frozen
1 Banana, medium (7" to 7-7/8"), sliced, frozen
2 Tablespoons Nutella
1/4 cup Walnuts, Chopped
Ice
Tips
If you want the chocolate flavor without the fat/calories, you could use cocoa powder or dry sugar-free, fat-free chocolate pudding mix (that's about 25 calories per tablespoon) instead of nutella. The pudding mix will make the smoothie thicker as well.
also, I recommend any time you make a smoothie that you freeze the fruit for at least one day ahead (preferably two). It makes a huge difference in texture.
Directions
1. Blend Spinach and Water until smooth
2. Add frozen fruit, blend
3. Add yogurt and nutella, blend
4. Add ice, blend
5. Top with walnuts (or mix 'em in)
The Cherry Cheesecake WHIPS yogurt taste like maraschino cherries to me, so it really makes this taste like a banana split. In my opinion. You could add stevia. Or you could use less spinach/water.
