Ingredients
Ground beef, extra lean, 16 oz
Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
Garlic, 4 cloves
Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced
Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped
Del Monte Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added, 2 cup
Tomato Paste 6 oz can
*French's Worchestershire Sauce, 6 tsp
Cider Vinegar, 6 tbsp
*Lemon Juice, .25 cup
Brown Sugar, 3 tsp unpacked
Village Hearth Light Wheat Bun, 1 serving
Tips
I use a food processor for quick chopping and dicing.
Directions
1) Brown the ground beef.
2) Add the chopped onions, garlic, celery, and carrots to the meat. Saute for 5 minutes
3) Add the tomatoes and the tomato paste and stir until it is thoroughly mixed in.
4) Add 2 6 oz cans of water and mix in.
5) Add Worchestershire sauce, cider vinegar, lemon juice, and brown sugar.
6) Cook until thickened (about 20 - 30 minutes)
7) Serve on a light bun
