Introduction

Ingredients

4 lbs beef top round steak (Two - 2 lb. steaks)
1/4 cup flour
salt & pepper
2 tablespoons canola or olive oil
2 1/2 cups beef stock
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 large onions, peeled and sliced
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Pound steak to tenderize.
3. Combine flour, salt and pepper on pie pan. Dredge both sides of steaks in mixture, using all even if you have to pat it on.
4. In heavy oven proof large skillet or dutch oven, heat oil on high heat, add steak and brown on both sides; remove steak and add stock, bring to boil, scraping bits off pan.
5. Add worcestershire sauce, more salt & pepper to taste, remove from heat.
6. Layer half the onions in pan, add steak, layer rest of onions; Spoon some broth on top bake for 2 hours, covered, basting steak after 1 hour.
7. Remove steak to cutting board and slice.
8. Add back to gravy and serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.
