Introduction

This recipe should be made with mozzarella, but I only had cheddar and Velveta on hand, so I made do. This recipe should be made with mozzarella, but I only had cheddar and Velveta on hand, so I made do.

Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef
    2 TBSP chopped onion
    3 oz chopped mushrooms
    1/2 cup tomato sauce
    clove garlic
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup mayo
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1 TBSP Parmesan
    8 oz Mozzarella
    Italian Seasoning
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

Brown beef, adding shrooms, onions, and garlic toward the end to saute. Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Meanwhile, combine the eggs, mayo, cream and half of the cheese. Add the remaining cheese to the meat mixture, and place in a pie plate. Cover with the custard mixture and bake at 350 for 35 minutes or so.
