Ingredients

    Whole Wheat pasta (8 oz., uncooked)
    Pesto ingredients:
    Almonds (2 tbsp.)
    Garlic (1 clove)
    Lemon/Lime Zest (1 tsp.)
    Fresh Baby Spinach (4 ounces)
    Parmesan or Pecorino cheese, grated (2 tbsp.)
    Chicken Broth or Olive Oil (2 tbsp.)

Tips

Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli:
Add cooked chicken breast and broccoli florets.


Directions

1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of the cooking liquid.
2. In a food processor, pulse pesto ingredients. Puree until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as necessary.
3. Toss the pasta with the pesto, adding some of the reserved cooking water if the pasta seems dry.
