*Pork, fresh, loin, top loin (chops), boneless, separable lean and fat, raw, 2.5 lb(remove)
Onions, raw, 3 medium (2-1/2" dia)(remove)
*Dole Pineapple Chunks in 100% Pineapple juice No Sugar Added, 1 cup(remove)
Cider Vinegar, .5 cup(remove)
Brown Sugar, .5 cup, packed(remove)
*Kikkoman Lite Soy Sauce, 4 tbsp(remove)
Ginger, ground, 0.5 tsp(remove)
Corn Starch, 0.25 cup(remove)
Water, tap, 1.5 cup (8 fl oz)(remove)
Water chestnuts, 1 cup slices(remove)
Green Peppers (bell peppers), 0.5 cup, chopped(remove)
Directions
Spray a dutch oven with nonstick spray and heat on medium high. Brown pork chops in batches and remove to plate. Add chopped onions, juice from pineapple, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and ginger. Reduce heat to medium and cook five minutes. Return pork chops to pan. Cover and simmer for one hour.
Remove pork chops, set aside. Whisk corn starch into water and stir in to pot. Add water chestnuts, pineapple, and green pepper. Return to boil, stirring constantly, and allow to boil two minutes. Return pork chops to pot until heated through.
Serve over brown rice.
