Ingredients
-
1 lb of Ground Beef
1 large can of Tomato Juice
2 3.5 oz cans of Kidney Beans (your choice, drained)
2-3 tbls of chili powder
1 tbls of sugar
1 bay leaf (don't crumble up)
Tips
This is a big hit at our house and we serve it over frito's chips or crackers and cheese. Enjoy!
Directions
First brown the ground beef. Pour the can of Tomato Juice into the crock pot. Drain the Kidney Beans and add them to the crock pot. Once the beef is done add it to the crock pot. Mix in the chili powder, sugar and the bay leaf. I do not crumble the dried bay leaf, just leave it whole.
Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. You can vary this time, I do when I have to. You could also cook this on the stove on a low boil for about 30 min mixing occasionally.
Serving Size: Makes about 8 cups.
