Ingredients

1/2 c whole wheat flour
1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 c old fashioned oats
3 T sugar
1t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/2 t cinnamon
2 T unsalted butter
1/4 c nonfat yogurt
1/4 t vanilla
1/4 c mini choc chips
Directions
preheat 400 degrees
mix whole wheat flower, all purpose flour, oats, sugar baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon in a food processor. with food processor running add small cubes of butter one at a time. process until it looks crumbly. add yogurt, egg and vanilla extract. process just til well mixed. add choc chips. process for 10 seconds.
Place dough on lightly floured board. knead lightly to finish combining ingredients. form into a ball, flatten into 8" circle (1/2" thick) with your hands or rolling pin cut into 8 wedges. coat baking sheet with cooking spray, place 8 wedges onto baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
Serving Size: makes 8 scones, 1 serving = 1 scone
