Ingredients

1-1 lb pkge GV BROWN LENTILS, DRY
2 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Dry minced Garlic
1/2 tsp Celery seed
2 tsp Arrowroot flour or corn starch
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1/4 cup chopped Green Peppers
1/4 cup Onions.,chopped
1 6 oz can HUNTS TOMATO PASTE
1 tsp Honey
1 1/4 cups water
Tips
The next day I usually add a quart of beef broth and some veggies (carrots, mushrooms,potatos etc) and serve as a soup.
Directions
Rinse lentils and pick out any foreign matter (pieces of rocks) and place in a pot, add water and bring to a boil-lower temp to a simmer.Cook 55 minutes or until the
lentils are soft. While the lentils are cooking, melt coconut oil in a saucepan. Saute green peppers and onions, add tomato paste, honey and water.In a small bowl, mix all the dry ingredients. Stir into tomato sauce mixture. When lentils are soft and water is absorbed stir in the dry ingredients.
Serve on whole wheat hamburger rolls or on rice.
