Ingredients

1 cup uncooked bulgar wheat
3 cups unsweetened almond milk (you can use unsweetened vanilla almond milk if you like extra sweetness)
0.5 cups chopped pecans (optional)
0.25 cups dried cranberries (optional)
Tips
If you are storing this in the fridge for later meals, remember the that bulgar will continue to absorb some of the fluid, so the later meals will be a drier consistancy than the original. After reheating, a splash of plain kefir, almond milk, or non-fat milk can add a nice touch and make the cereal a little more moist.
Directions
Mix bulgar wheat and almond milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes (depending on the consistency you like your cereal). Remove from heat, stir in pecans and cranberries, cover for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
