Introduction

Ingredients

    Dry:
    3 c whole wheat flour
    1/2 c white flour, unbleached all purpose
    2 tbsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 tbsp flax seed meal, ground

    Wet:
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    3 1/2 c unsweetened almond milk, original
    1 c water
    1/2c canola oil

Tips

Great for freezing. ( Let waffles cool first. Separate with saran or wax paper.) We top with heated blueberries. No sugar! Whee.


Directions

Preheat griddle.

In separate bowl, mix dry ingredients together.

Mix wet ingredients together in mixer. Add dry mixture all at once until just mixed. Batter will be slightly lumpy. Pour onto waffle iron using approximately 1 cup per batch.

Serving Size: make 6-8 batches (four squares per batch)
