Ingredients

8 oz. Deer steak
1 large red onion
5 small/medium red new potatoes
2 stalks of carrots
2-3 celery stalks
1 cup mushrooms
3 cups water
salt and pepper
2 tbsp oregano
2 tbsp parsley
2 tbsp thyme
1 tsp corriander
1 tbsp red chili powder
2 tbsp flour
Tips
Add any vegetable which you like such as peppers, turnips, or any family favourites.
If "juice" does not thicken, add more flour/water mixture and remove the lid to let some water evaporate.
Directions
Chop onions, carrots, celery and potatoes and layer on the bottom of the slow cooker. Salt and Pepper to taste.
Cut up the deer steaks into small bit size chunks/cubes and place on top of vegetables. Add chopped mushrooms on top of meat and add 3 cups water or just enough to cover. Salt and pepper to taste again.
Add all spices to the top of the stew, do not mix.
Cook on low for 5-5.5 hours stirring occasionally.
Mix flour with luke warm water and add to slow cooker as thickening agent. Continue to cook on low for another 30-60 minutes.
Serve with rice, steamed veggies or mashed potatoes (not included in calories)
