Introduction

Lentils a little different, but simple. Lentils a little different, but simple.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    40 grams nonfat cottage cheese
    100 grams fresh green peppers
    2 tsp basil
2 tbsp pepper, red or cayenne
    1 small raw onion
    400 grams lentils
    1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

The amount of the ingredients is symbolic - you can add more or less of each to your own liking.
I use canned lentils.
Use a frying pan, slice the onion and fry it until it turns golden, then add the pepper and after a minute or two add the lentils.
Stir for a minute and add the cottage cheese, stirring it until it melts.
Add some basil and cayenne pepper, salt and serve it sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
Voila.

    Very Good
I just tried this because I happened to have all ingredients. It’s nice and quick to make and quite tasty. I think the mixture would even make a nice veggie burger once compacted a little. All in all, a nice recipe that I’ll be making again. - 5/20/08

    Very Good
Made this last night. It was quick, easy and really delicious. It is a good quick addition to my repetoire.

R U sure about the 2 TBS of red pepper/cayenne. I only put a couple of shakes of cayenne and that was spicy enough for me.

    Thanks!
