Ingredients

    2 lbs. pears; peeled, cored, sliced
    2.5 tsp.lemon juice
    2 T chopped almonds
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 T smart balance buttery spread
    3 T water

Tips

To prepare oatmeal: 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup of pears, sprinkle of salt. Stir. Microwave for 3.5 to 4.5 minutes. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before eating.


Directions

mix pears and rest of ingredients in large bowl. Melt margarine in pan with water. Add bowl of ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 6 minutes or to your liking.
