Ingredients

    3/4 C butter
    1 C Flour
    8 C Warm Water
    2 lb Ground beef extra lean
    1 T MSG
    2 T broth and seasoning base
    1 t Pepper
    1 C Onions, diced
    1 C carrots, diced
    1 C celery, diced
    2 10 oz pkg frozen mixed veggies
    1 t Salt

Tips

Can also add a 16 oz can of tomatoes.


Directions

Melt butter & stir in flour to make a smooth paste. Gradually stir in 8 cups warm water, stirring constantly. In lg skillet saute ground beef, drain & add meat to soup. Parboil onions, carrots & celery for 10-15 mins. Drain and add to soup. Add frozen mixed veggies, MSG, broth & seasoning base, salt & pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer & cook 30-45 minutes or until veggies are tender.
