Introduction

Red rice as a side dish that goes with all Mexican food. Red rice as a side dish that goes with all Mexican food.

Ingredients

    2 cups of white rice

    2 cups of water

    2 cups of chicken broth

    3 sliced strips of green bel peppers

    6 strips of sliced onion

    1 small can of tomato sauce (paste)

    2 tbsp olive oil

Directions

Pre-heat a medium size sauce pan on high heat.
drizzle olive oil in sauce pan, about 2 tbsp. Add bell peppers and onion when pan is hot enough. Stir them. Add 2 cups of white rice. stir until golden brown. add 2 cups of water and 2 cups of chicken broth. (for every cup of rice you add 2 cups of water) Add tomato sauce, stir until it boils. when it boils cover pan and lower the heat very low. keep covered until cooked. Serve and enjoy!
