Ingredients

    1 cup Old fashioned oats (Roast them in a pan and set aside)
    1/2 cup edamame
    1 tbsp oil
    1/2 cup onions chopped
    1/4 cup tomatoes chopped
    1 tsp ginger grated
    3 to 4 green chillies slit
    few curry leaves
    1 tsp chana dal
    1 tsp urad dal
    1 tsp mustard seeds
    salt as per taste
    water 3 cups

Tips

Add more veggies to cut down on the portion of oats and make it more healthy


Directions

Heat oil in a pan and add the dals and let them turn golden brown in colour, and then add ginger, green chillies, curry leaves, fry for a minute and then add onions and edamame and saute until onions get translucent. Add tomatoes and saute for a minute more and add water and salt and let it come to boil. Now add the roasted oats and cook on very low heat until oats get cooked. Turn off the heat and serve them hot with any chutney of your choice.

Serving Size: Makes 2 servings of 1.25 cups approx.
