Ingredients

    8 ounces lean, boneless pork loin chops
    2 slices Canadian back bacon
    4 slices bacon
    1 onion chopped
    3 cups frozen oriental style vegetables
    3 cups cooked basmati rice (white long grain)
    2 cups beef broth
    2 tbsps hoisin sauce
    2 tbsps rice vinegar
    1 tsp Chinese 5 spice mix
    1 tbsp sesame oil (as flavouring, optional)
    2 tbsp corn starch

Tips

You can increase the sweet and sourness to suit your taste without increasing the calorie count by adding splenda or other no calorie sweetener and more rice vinegar.


Directions

Cube pork loin chops and cut up back bacon and back bacon. Sear in skillet. (No oil necessary).

Add onion and fry til onions are carmelized. Add frozen oriental vegetables, broth, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, Chinese 5 spice mix, and sesame oil.

Mix corn starch with 1/4 cup cold water and stir into the mix. Bring to a boil, til mixture is shiny and thickens. Serve over rice or mix rice in.

1 serving = about 2 cups, with rice mixed in.
